registering the day of the event will need to register
at Obee's Deli Market/Bait Shop. They are located approximately 1 mile
south of the State Park entrance on US 23, and sell live bait. Boat number
will be assigned upon registering.
Payout Schedule:
80% payback to 25% of field,
Example - 50 teams pays 12 places
100% payback to big fish (Will pay two places, 70%, 30%.)
Teams will weigh
a combined 10 best fish, individuals will weigh 10 best fish.
Coffee and Doughnuts will be provided at the ramp.
Boat number is determined by registration order.
Rules
and Regulations
1. Tournament is open to both boaters and shore anglers. Teams will be
limited to two persons and members of the same team must fish within 25
feet of their partner, boat or shore.
2. Anglers may use two rods per person. Live bait and/or artificial baits
are allowed.
3. Tournament will run from 7AM until 3PM. Teams must be checked in before
6:45AM. Boats will be launched in order of sign up at 7AM. Teams must
check back in at the weigh-in site BY NUMBER by 3PM. There will be a 4oz
per minute late penalty for teams not back by 3PM. One team member must
present team's catch at weigh-in.
4. Fish must be a minimum length of 9 inches. State regulations will be
followed at all events.
5. Fish must be caught with hook/rod/line, in the mouth or lip. No snagging.
6. Teams must comply with State fishing and boating regulations. Licenses
are the angler's responsibility.
7. PFD's must be worn when gas motor is running.
8. No fishing within 50 feet of an anchored competitor. Same with shore
fishing. 50 feet apart.
9. A safe, courteous distance will be maintained while motoring(gas or
trolling) and boaters must follow navigation restrictions for each venue,
i.e., no wake zones, etc.
10. There is a 20 possession limit per team. Of those, 10 fish will be
weighed. The decision of what fish to be weighed will be done by the team
PRIOR to arriving at the weigh-in site for check in. Any short fish at
check-in will be removed and will not be replaced with one AFTER checking
in prior to weigh in. PLEASE make every attempt to keep fish alive if
planning on release.
11. There will be NO radio or cell phone communications of FISHING INFORMATION
during an event.
12. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES or drug use.
13. You may NOT hire or compensate anyone to fish with you or for you
at an event. NO HOLE SITTING by non-competitors.
14. Pre-fishing is allowed up until 24 hours before the event.
15. In the event of a tie, the weight of the largest single fish will
determine the winner. If that is also a tie, coin flip.
Results of the tournaments
will be posted on ohiogamefishing.com within 48 hours of tournament completion.
Competitors MUST
sign a release (hold harmless) PLUS a photo release for any media coverage
we may receive.
If you are registering
with PayPal or at the ramp the day of the event, your entire team will
be required to fill out a release form upon check-in.
