Default Catching Largemouths

I just got into fly fishing.

I just found out i could actually cast it now so now I'm ready.

Ive been catching some big sunfish lately, but now i wanna catch a bass.

For bass, do i let the fly sit or should i give it a popping action?

Depends what fly you are using. I have caught alot of largemouth on clouser minnows or ep minnows. Try some imitation bluegill pattern for ep flies and just basic minnow patterns for clousers. I use a strip and pause method usually and they seem to take it Once caught a small largemouth and had a huge largemouth attack and eat it off the end of my hook so i think fish patterns are a good way to go! lol. If you use poppers you can do a top water pop and wait retrieve.
