ashtabula perch

are there any perch to be caught out of ashtabula? im taking a 12yr old up saturday for his 13th bday! i usually go ut of conneaut but if i can i would like to avoid the mess over there with the dock fest going on! any help would be great! thanks in advance! u can pm me if u want! just want him to catch fish!!

I posted a thread just a couple days ago. 48-52fow just about a mile or two outside the wall. Shiners 1-2 cranks off the bottom. We had alotta shorts but brought home 40 keepers. We probably caught a 3 person limit, but 6-8 inch perch just ain't big enough. Also had reports from a couple people catching jumbo's inside the wall, just not massive numbers. We marked tons of schools on the bottom all over.
