As Always Viper1, Thanks for the Perch Report!
Hopefully this weekend, we'll be up for some perch.
We went to Bula, 2 boats 4 guys. Filled both coolers by 1 (pan fish). Caught
95% males guarding their nests,,, they're getting smaller,,, gobs of BABIES, by the thousands, in the grass!
Maybe another week left,,,, hard to tell with the HOT/COOL TEMPS & windy weather changes.
Water temp inside the wall was 62*. Only went to 63* by the time we left.
IF THERE IS ANYBODY OUT THERE THAT CAN'T SEEM TO CATCH ERIE SMALLIES RIGHT NOW<<< SELL YOUR FISHING STUFF,,, BUY SOME GOLF CLUBS!
We landed about 20, up to 3#ers. WE TRIED 'NOT' TO BOTHER THEM,,, THEY ARE ON THEIR NESTS EVERYWHERE. NOBODY SHOULD BOTHER THEM RIGHT NOW.
There were only 4 perch boats just NW of the red marker and they didn't last long. I didn't get a chance to talk to any of them

but by the way the ladie at the bait shop was talking, Perch'n wasn't very good! She said that the winds/ waves scattered the schools (little pods) of fish that were just starting to group up.

There were HUGE marks everywhere in the shipping channel! We shoulda put on worm harnesses and drifted for a while, just to see, but with a butt-load of fish to clean, we packed up and left.
