Default Catfishing near Hilliard and Griggs area.

I know this area pretty well for catfish, but do you guys know of any good spots that I can take home some catfish? I really wouldnt want to eat any fish out of griggs, so I was hoping to see if there were any other recommendations..

An old buddy of mine used to know of a pond in Hilliard that was stocked with decent sized channels. Can't recall the name though

Municipal Park - 3800 Veterans Memorial Dr. Lots of ponds there. They hold a couple of catfish derbys during the year. I have seen some big fish out there...

Default Eaters

Up above the zoo at OShay. I personally don't eat the cats because (1) Cats are game fish to me so I Catch Photo & Release them and (2) by the time I'm done fishing at 2 or 3 or 4 AM cleaning catfish is the LAST thing I want to have to do!

Scioto Darby Rd and Veterans Memorial Rd

Turn down Veterans Memorial goes right through the park there are 3 ponds. The one behind the ball fields has a huge bass that teases me can see him from shore but will never bite.

Clearest water in the central Ohio.

Tons of carp, gills, bass bite is good but mostly dinks.

As I was walking in one time a guy was leaving said he caught a channel cat however I have never caught one there. Havn't fished for them though.

checked em out last night for bass and didnt have much luck. The one behind the baseball fields looks promising but it is really clear, I didnt have any senko worms with me, which might be the best bet there. The other pond is really stained blue so I cranked a bomber over some rocks and got a nice 14 inch LMB but that was my only fish of the night. I may check em out for catfish.

I did pretty good maybe two weeks ago there with Wacky Worm.

Mainly fish the back pond because not as many people.

On the backside of the backpond there is a bench if you walk like straight out from the bench there is a huge bass that patrols there, but wont bite. I have seen it like 5 times this year always patrolling the same place. Wait a few minutes it will swim by maybe 3-4 feet of shore.

When they let the water out at Deer Creek Spillway, we fish the shorelines at the spillway with live minnows and pull 18-30" catfish?
