We caught a ton; the shore fishermen were catching a ton; it was just on. Fished near scattered submerged timber in 2-9 fow with a white jig. Most were 9-10" fish and none were over 11". I also replicated this pattern on a completely different part of the lake too so they are everywhere now. Most fish were spawned out.

I fished it twice ( from the bank) since Thursday and caught over 100 with probably about 30 nice slabs (mostly black) ranging from 11-12 1/2 inches. I had several throwbacks including some whites right at nine. I don't want to argue with officers about on the dot measured fish, especially if it doesn't have alot meat needing to add a little more bulk. I used white twisters tails on a 1/16 and crappie minnows under a bobber 1 to 3 feet deep. Once again, I had a blast catching them on light tackle (4 1b test) it makes crappie fishing very fun!
