Default O'Shay report

Water is stained everywhere but certainly worse up north. I thought it would have settled down a bit by now but it's still fairly turbid. Fished way too hard to catch just 2 keeper bass (2lber and a 12"er) so switched over to crappie when my daughter joined me on the water after school. The crappie were on fire! We caught a ton; the shore fishermen were catching a ton; it was just on. Fished near scattered submerged timber in 2-9 fow with a white jig. Most were 9-10" fish and none were over 11". I also replicated this pattern on a completely different part of the lake too so they are everywhere now. Most fish were spawned out.

I fished it twice ( from the bank) since Thursday and caught over 100 with probably about 30 nice slabs (mostly black) ranging from 11-12 1/2 inches. I had several throwbacks including some whites right at nine. I don't want to argue with officers about on the dot measured fish, especially if it doesn't have alot meat needing to add a little more bulk. I used white twisters tails on a 1/16 and crappie minnows under a bobber 1 to 3 feet deep. Once again, I had a blast catching them on light tackle (4 1b test) it makes crappie fishing very fun!

Fished a couple hours from shore down in the no wake zone this morning. Got 6 keepers and about 10 throw backs all of the shorts were only about 1/4" shy of 9. Got a couple small bass as well. got em on minnows 2' under a float. Getting ready to fry up those keepers right now

Fished the river tonight and got 10-12 crappie in the 9-10" range on a chartruese jig fished about 18" under a float, also caught a couple lunker rockbass and a couple average smallies with the same rig. Water seemed just a hair high and a little clowdy. Bugs seemed a little thick as well, just got back from Florida where I seemed to be the main course so once the fishing slowed we beat feet out of there.
