Default Trolling plate and Hydrofoil?

Anyone use both? I have a hydrofoil now so there are 4 holes drilled into the cav plate for the bolts. Don't the trolling plates attach in the same fashion? I've seen the hydrotrolls or whatever that are both a hydrofoil and trolling plate but wasn't sure if those would match my bolt holes?? What have you guys done?

my I/O had a hydofoil on it when i bought it, i added a cabelas troll-a-matic to it...2 holes were the same so i drilled to new ones in the troll a matic...cav plate on bottom. troll-a-matic mid and hydrofoil on top...worked great for years, then a few yrs ago i backed into some mud and the trolling plate(plastic) got damaged from the prop...now i run trolling bags

So the bags drag behind you then while motor idles? How far back? How do you keep your lures out of them? Or you drifting? I thought the bags were just for drifting.

drift or troll...you can tie them towards the front to keep them beside the boat, i tie off the back, never had one get to the motor or into a crankbait...

easy troll makes a good solid trolling plate/hydrofoil. it looks alittle gaudy but i guess it works. i bought one for my boat, then before i put it on i put a 5 blade high five prop on my boat. then i didnt put the hydrofoil part of the plate on my boat. it just jumped on plane and handled like a dream with the 19 p 5 bld prop. but with the easy troll with the finns you can use it with or without the finns. so i left them off.
