Hey,Buddy,,,,You must understand, that Kenny has ,as all boat/engine Mech's. ,do ,,,they have this thing called,a "Bench Charge"and if it takes 5min. or 59 min. they charge you an "hour' to service what problem/s, he addresses ..... that's the Mech,Tech. industry!! I don't like it either,,,unless I'm charging the "bench Charge" !! See you in the morn,Drew.. ----->>>>>sonar<<<<<-----

So I put the motor in a trash can full of water and its pumping just fine! Apparently it does not like the ear muffs. I found a burnt wire leading to the rectifier. I will be checking the voltage coming out of the battery tonite.

If you have a TACH, with a bad voltage regulator/rectifier, the TACH won't show any reading when the motor is running. With a multimeter, check your battery voltage with motor off (should be around 12.6 to 12.7 volts for a fully charged battery). Then, check battery voltage with engine running. If the rectifier is good you should read approx 13.5 to 14.5 volts on the battery.

Thanks Workdog! The rectifier is bad. I'm sure I can replace that myself. I will call Kenny and see if he has one if not I found one online. Thanks for everyone's help!
