Default Jugging for Catfish

Went to Taylorsville Lake in Ky the past week. I met a guy who took me out Jug fishing for the first time. We killed it but we got one real nice one weighing 16 pounds. I love to see those jugs dance. Click image for larger version

Just starting to get into jugging. I love a pole, but just something about the dancing jug. A lot easier than 2 poles per kid in the boat.

Thats a nice Blue cat for a jug, Taylorsville Lake is one of Ky 's best known Blue Cat fisheries, Nice job! Curious what the percentage was of blues vs channels you caught??

To be honest we probably caught 45 fish and 10 were channels. they did come around and steal our bait a lot. We had to make sure all of the jugs were baited quite often because of them but we caught a fair amount of Blues. I went again the other day and we got another 25. Because of the size limit on the lake we had to throw back 5 over 25 so that was a lot of fun on the jugs. Here is a picture from the last trip.

Big Fish! One last trip

Went out for one last trip. I figured I would bring the pole out as well. I caught my fair share but none on the pole. I had one real nice big one hit me that made the trip. The water in these lakes in kentucky are awesome. I will be back when it gets colder for sure. I have one picture from the trip. Click image for larger version
