Default added .22 conversion kit to my 9mm

I bit the bullet and bought a .22 conversion kit for my 9mm. It's pretty sweet! I can now throw pennies down range instead of quarters every time I pull the trigger. here is a link by another guy showing the process-

Default .22 conversion

what gun did you buy the kit for? I've thought about it for my .45 of doing the same. but then I looked at what is the cost of buying the set up. plus buying all the Mags for the gun. when is the break even point? and also wouldn't it be cheaper for me to just buy a .22 gun instead of a kit?

I was wondering if you looked at any of the factors? just trying to get a good discussion going!

I bought it for my CZ 75 SP-01. Yes it will be cheaper to buy a stand alone .22. break even point might be 2000 rounds??? Point is, I can practice with my 9 mm sights, grip etc, in other words, get a real good feel for the gun but I'm only spending penney's a session vs. quarters. Might not make fiscal sense for some but I'm glad I made the move. I already own a 22/45 ruger in .22. nice gun and I shoot it a lot but not same feel as my CZ 9mm.

I get the feel of the gun and all it teaches you better control, and like you said ammo at $13.00 a box can not be beat! The CZ are nice guns. I wasn't aware that they made conversion kits for the guns. I guess I always like purchasing a new toy!
