When to harvest Rasberrys/Blue berrys in NE Ohio?

Went to visit a friend in Garrettsville yesterday. He has 11 acres and just finishing up the house and what not. Well, we took a walk through the woods and he has raspberry and blue berry bushes by the 1000's. When these are ready for the pickens, you will be able to stand in one spot and fill a 5 gallon bucket is minutes. The raspberrys are just starting to turn red, so I think another week or two on those. So, when it the prime time to harvest these things? Ill be back there the weekend after the 4th and Ill try to get some pictures.

The Blueberry Patch in Lexington started picking a week or two ago, seems like a very early season. Lexington is in North Central Ohio just outside of Mansfield in the Mohican area. It's about 1 1/2 hours from cleveland down I-71. Great place to go for Blueberry's and Mohican's a nice area to visit.

If they're just turning red they are probably blackberries which normally ripen in July. Our raspberry plants ripened about 2 weeks ago and are just about gone.
