Thumbs down Here fishy . . . fishies . . .

Have some fishing frustration the last few trips to the river, not fell into near as many smallmouth in any of my "honey holes" as I'd hoped I would by now. But, I guess that's what makes it so rewarding when ya finally hook into the big fishies. The fish must have my schedule calendered and take refuge elsewhere when I arrive.

Went to a more pressured area and pulled out a decent full bellied largemouth.

I did score two new rapala cranks from the river that someone must be missing by now.

I think I might ditch the Stillwater for the GMR next round. New waters are always fun.

Fish on and see you on the boards . . .

I know they HAVE NOT been letting water out of CJ and BUCK CREEK has been LOW for a long while...many of the SM in our area have moved on to the MAD River or into the few local Summer pools already!
I have a feeling we're in for a long, HOT, and DRY Summer!

That's the way I like the rivers, during the dry season, the water levels lower and it makes it easier for me to find them and to work soft plastic jerk baits. Sure beats the alternative of high and murky.
