Lots of short hits today. Best for us was 5/8 purple hair jig, stinger and NO minnow. Had one 20+ fish follow me to the boat but wouldn't hit it.

Lol...I saw that coming. Anyhow, I fish all ways and enjoy it. Was never a big fan of trolling until I started using the little boards(gotta thank BD for that) I enjoy watching the board bounce back like a bobber and at the slow speeds 1.0-1.5 you get to fight the fish! You don't drag em' across the top of the water like the big boards at faster speeds. Fishin the central basin most of the time it's pretty tough to cast ... water and the fish are just too deep. You would have to count to 50 on a calm day and after 5 cranks your out of the strike zone. So a lot of it has to do with where your at and what time of year. Good luck to all the casters, jiggers, and trollers! And BTW I have shot my share of does and some pretty nice bucks too

I remember a guy on OW who bashed trollers. Started guiding, "jigging only". Next season he has a kicker....now he's giving trolling advice on some forums. Guess it's "depends on whose ox is gored".

I love to troll. Good thing I'm already a girl...whew!

Nothing like bashing other people for what they prefer to do, and thinking you're superior because of it.
