Default Wingfoot-"Friendly" Place

REPORT-Fished it today in my boat and if you were not anchored right on top of them, you did not catch anything(or very little)! Saw a guy 25 yds away pulling perch after perch after perch. I had one hit while anchored and it caught me by surprise, so I of course missed it!
Now, to the rant, I have never seen more discourteous people fishing in boats anywhere, including Erie during a hot perch bite. I was anchored and casting with my back to the wind and my hood on. I hear a voice in "low, normal conversational tone" slightly behind me say "Ketchin any"? I look to my left and here comes two guys in a boat drifting and(not kidding!), I could have shook hands with him! I had just reeled up and was abt to cast to my left which would have hit him in the face with my rod tip! I saw several others do the same thing in that area(apparently the "hot" middle part of the lake!) They said the same thing to the others as they were passing! Apparently, asking if someone is "kethin any" is a pleasantry out there and makes it ok to practically run into them. I may reconsider my planned fishing hole this summer due to the high price of gasoline!

bountyhunter; I saw that big YELLOW"X" from shore the other day when we were out there siteseeing. The only thing is that some guy was lifting it up and looking under it. I really dont know what he was looking for, but at least he didnt take it with him.
I had a guy pick up my bouy right in front of my boat while I was casting to a high spot under it over on walborn a couple years ago. I told him it was mine and I'ld like him to put it back. He said he thought it was somebodies crab trap. I wasnt aware walborn had a big enough population of snow crabs to trap but I guess it must.
Some peoples kids, REALLY?! LOL

Walborn had snow crabs until global warming hit...now there are just blue crabs.

What a nut - did he really think you'd believe him???

Another reason the lake doesn't get too muddy is that it isn't a flood control lake so they don't fluctuate the level as they do Milton,. Berlin and West Branch. I used to work in the powerhouses at Goodyear and we would open or close the valve now and then to regulate the water we needed for operations in the plant but we never dropped the level more than a few inches.
