Lunkers

I stopped by the river last night. To my surprise the water was looking really good. Seemed like a quick flow with lower levels. I did not check the conservancy for rates. I just go look and see what I consider fishable. She is fishable......for sure. I seen a couple fellas I know from previous trips. One guy had caught one on a swimbait, the other having no luck with a spinnerbait. We were talking from a distance when I caught one fairly quickly on a Senko. Just a tiny smallie. Well with the rise in water levels and the mercury we should see some good bass activity soon. Its been a long cold winter and I for one cannot wait to get back on the water. I fish all winter from shore but I am ready to get in the boat.

I have been hitting ponds and old pits without success. The GMR should be back at a good flow soon. The smallies will be lighting up. Till then I am getting down to Rocky Fork. I need to get some largemouth. Caesar Creek is likely not going to...

I have already shared this through a post but I will elaborate. I went to Argonne Lake to try for some pre spawners. I like the lake at certain times of the year. For those who like submergent grass, hit it in summer. I had a couple little pecks after switching from a Spinner Bait to a Texas rigged worm. Maybe small bass but more likely a blue gill.

I hope to keep up on a Blog. I have never spent time blogging but figure I would give it a go. If nothing else maybe make it a extension of my fishing journal.

First off, I only target Bass. Once in a great while I will go fishing for some fillets, but rarely. I never harvest a Bass to eat unless specifically requested by property management for selective harvest.
