howdy, saw your post about houghton lake mich. i'm a die hard ice fisherman and hopefully if my money situation permits, i'd like to vacation up north again. went to hubbard lake 2 years ago with my son in law. had a great time but the fishing stunk. i'm in mt.vernon, so it's a lot closer than hubbard. i appreciate any info you can spare, ice thickness, times, etc. here's to a long successful ice season. thanks logan
