Thanks for the info! I just spooled up some 30lb braid on a spare spool. I've been reluctant to try it. I guess its time to dive in and start using it, hoping to nab one of them big boys! Maybe see you around on the creeks. 1 more kayak question. What kind of holder do you use for your vehicle? What kind of vehicle do you drive? I have a little Honda Civic. Any trouble hauling a kayak with that?

when you are fishing for smallmouth and you hook a musky, are you using mono? My question is, if your fishing clear water with 6-8lb test and happen to hook a musky, what is the best way to land that toothy varmint?
