Hope to hit Turkeyfoot for the afternoon bite this Saturday, 1/22 following work... but since P/Lakes were lowered this week due to release gate repairs, may have to consider other places... maybe Nimisila. Will let you know how I fare.

John : I appreciate the offer but I have plenty of fish. Just let me know what kind of luck you have on them. Maybe sometime you can show me the ropes @ those Portage Lakes.

Always wanted to try them but never knew where to park and such. Hate going to a new place totally blind. Love catching panfish anywhere perch are my favorite but I love crappie and gills also.

PP...stopped at Mark's late this afternoon, Tuesday 1/18. He gave me those fantastic gill jigs. I'm headed to the basement to put them on my rods... THANKS...

PS... Hit Turkeyfoot yesterday, Monday 1/17. Can I offer you some gill fillets in appreciation for them???? I could drop them off at Mark's if you're interested.

Always a pleasure in meeting another icer. Nice to meet you at Mark's yesterday. I truly admire your expertise in making your own ice flies. I've never seen any better.

Let's hope we'll be drilling holes by Saturday. Most likely, I'll hit Portage Lakes as my first... Old State Park, then onto Nimisila once safe ice is produced.
