If you go to Conneaut and the waves are less than 2 ft, like they are forecasting, letting out 150 ft of anchor line is sufficient. We have been getting perch within 1 mile outside the breakwall in 41 -45 ft, and also out 6 miles in 52-62 ft. I use a light to med action rod with 8 -10 pound test, a crappie rig with a 1 ounce sinker. You may want to call Snug Harbor Bait Shop, which is at the top of the hill above the harbor, at 440-593-3755 and make sure they have bait, preferably emerald (lake) shiners. Snug Harbor also post a lake conditions and fish report on their phone using prompt 1.
