I remember the first fish I ever caught. I must have been four years old and my mom took me to Richwood lake. I had a cane pole and when that bobber shot under the water I did what you are supposed to: I ran screaming "I GOTTA FISH!!!" with pole in hand.

Making my own lures not only has me fishing more, it has me wanting to try new things.
I have never gone after crappie much. Now, with the tail spinner I am designing all I can think about is getting out there and seeing how it does.

2011 was a year that saw me fishing more than any time since I was a teen. I haven't bowhunted once and with a nasty case of bronchitis I may not get out this muzzle loader season.
