We have a 17.5 alumacraft 165 sport deep v. We use the trovera i-piolt for just about every thing. U can set it on corse and it will stay there. We have the remote controll which is real handy. U can controll every thing from the back of the boat. We have the 80# thrust. When the boat is loaded it goes around 1700# it will pull the boat about 4.5-5.0mph wide open. We do not due this often for battiers life. But probally get about 4hrs wide open. It comes with a lot of good stuff. Like anchoring tracking backing tracking. U can also set your course with it.any where on the boat. If you fish erie consider the long shaft it is adjustable. U can also set tour speed with the remote. The remote is the way to go.
