Today I continued the work on my old bass boat. I am working on replacing all the carpet and it turned out to be a bigger chore than I anticipated. Recarpeting all the doors and hatches was a pain. Today we managed to get the rest of the carpet down. I am working on it in order to sell. I don't like to sell anything that is not in good to great condition and after seeing the finished product, it will be hard to part with it. It is now a great looking boat and I don't know why I didn't do this...

Well Casey and I managed to get out once again. After being denied permission at our first stop, we headed to a backup area that has been poor to us in the past. BUT Casey managed to find a very large antler laying in a field. That might be enough for us to make a return trip. We tried to match it up but came away unsuccessful. I managed to find an old 2 1/2 yr old 4 pt. Also Casey found a piece of an old antler that has been chewed into pieces, but it clearly came from a huge deer. Too bad...

Well this time I went to some private ground that gets hunted. I usually stray away from ground that gets hunted due to the fact that there are fewer bucks to drop antlers. It was a semi-productive trip with Casey finding a 2 1/2 yr old 4 pt, and Adam finding a little fork antler. This was the first time I saw this ground and it seemed to set up better for hunting success as opposed to shed hunting success. Here we go!
I went out once again with Casey looking for sheds. We were in an area that we shouldn't have been, but there were deer running around and we wanted to find some. On a bad note, the only antler found was a small 1 1/2 yr old that Casey found. On the bright side we ran into and old graveyard with some stones dating back to 1830. Based on thew condition and layout of the stones, I think they were newer stones and not on the original gravesite. We also ran into a leanto...
