thursday turnpike trouble
headed for vermilion thursday morning, going to check-in at the plantation and meet up with george for some prefishing. just south of cleveland on the turnpike, i felt the trailblazer start shaking violently, looked in the mirror and saw 2 feet of my trailer tire tread slapping around. i got pulled over and the tread was completly gone, peeled off like a freeking onion skin.WTF, well everyone has tried to warn me the carlies are shit, i didnt belive them, but i do now. so i give george a call and tell him go on with out me im going to be late. he said he'd come help me, i tell him, no ive got a spare and id be done by the time he got there, it only a tire. i got the tire changed in less than 10 minutes, really slick, like nascar fast. i think all those semis going by me at 70 miles an hour made me a better tire changer.lol. dropped the jack and the trailer came all the way down with it. couldnt even get the jack out. when i started the day, i checked the trailer tires air pressure and it was good. i punched the spare as i walked by to check its pressure. turns out the spare only had 10 psi in it
gave george another call and told him, im for sure going to be very late. i explained what was up and he said ill come and help you. to make a long story short, george put off his day of prefishing to come and rescue me on the side of the turnpike. him and his grandfather came got my spare, filled it with air and followed me to vermilion. THANKS GUYS!! a great friend for sure to sacrafice like that.
